I owe a huge debt of gratitude to all of you, my wonderful family and friends. Your love and support and enthusiasm these past twelve months mean the world to me. The book has exceeded my every expectation
Inspiration for The New Year
What an extraordinary year 2013 has been! With the publication of The Life List came countless unexpected joys. I’ve reunited with old friends, met wonderful readers and fellow authors, and became acquainted with some terrific librarians and booksellers. But perhaps the greatest joy has been the feedback I’ve received from my readers, and learning that The Life List touched them in some meaningful way.

On this magical journey to publication, some moments will remain with me forever. Most are glorious memories, like being in Chicago when The Life List sold, which is set in the Windy City, calling my parents to share the news, or finding a text from my agent, telling me the first foreign rights had been purchased.
